Our project´s statement
This project aims to elucidate the implications of grounding a professional ethics theory on the concept of dignity as originally defined in the Judeo-Christian tradition, with particular emphasis on Catholic Social Teaching (CST).

Philosophy of
Work
The research group has understood the need to cultivate new research exploring various philosophical traditions that have grappled with the concept of human work. The rationale for adopting such a philosophical approach to understanding the nature of work stems from the recognition that any normative understanding of work and professional ethics necessitates a robust foundation of philosophical discourse. Without this, the systematic study of applied ethics becomes nearly impossible."
Business & Professional Ethics Theory
The primary research focus naturally lies in the theory of business and professional ethics. Building upon the foundations of our research project, we will delve into the essence of business and professional ethics through the lenses of dignity and virtue.
Applied Research on Work Ethics
In addition to the theoretical developments proposed in the first two tracks of research (i.e., philosophy and applied ethics), we will further advance new research on quantitative and qualitative aspects of business and professional ethics. This aims to elucidate the relationship between the dignity of work and virtue with the objective dimension of modern organizations.
